WHO I AM

ALESSIO LOPRETE

Born in the ancient town of Matera famous for its “Sassi”.
I learnt creativity from nature.
I dreamt, watching sunsets from my room’s window.
I breathed the oil of my mother’s canvases and faced the rigor of my father.
I tasted my knees’s blood and felt childhood’s bruises.
I studied more for curiosity then for duty, smelling books more than reading them.
I left my town for live a different history, Rome.
I kept on studying what I love, getting my Graphics degree at the European Institute of Design, IED.
12 years Graphic Designer, Art Director and Creative at Filmmaster Events.
Another city in my path, Milan... where I am now, freelance.
And future?

Comunicare, emozionare, stupire con la semplicità.
Ovunque e sempre osserviamo.
Maniaci di un punto o di una sfumatura, voraci di lettere e colori.
Amanti del caos che diventa silenzio, rigore, espressione di purezza di una semplice parola, difetto su di un foglio bianco.

GRAPHIC DESIGN

Il futuro del disegno grafico sarà minimale o caos totale e sarà visto come importante mezzo di cultura.
Linguaggio sensuale di una gioventù e la sua visione romantica come ritorno alle virtù classiche.
Si svilupperà come riflesso delle necessità e dei valori di chi la crea e dei suoi destinatari.

CONCEPT

Difetto come unicità, valore aggiunto e personalità.
Lontano dai canoni, sopra le righe, infiltrato in questa invasione del perfetto.
Invasi dal commerciale e dalle pubblicità che ci seguono ovunque, diamo significato all’immagine e cerchiamo il difetto, perchè perfezione è solo una parola…

Communicate, excite, amaze with simplicity. 
We observe everywhere and ever.
Maniacs of a dot or a shade, craving for letters and colors.
Lovers of chaos that becames silence, rigour, pureness expression of one single word, flaw (Difetto) on a white leaf.

GRAPHIC DESIGN

The future of design will be minimal or total chaos and perceived as an important means of culture.
Sensual language of young people and their romantic vision as a return to the classic virtues.
It will develop as a reflection of needs and values of his maker and his addressees.

Flaw (Difetto) like uniqueness, added value and personality. Away from canons, above the lines, infiltered into this invasion of perfection.
Surrounded by “the commercial” and advertising that follows us everywhere, let’s give a meaning to the image and look for the flaw (difetto), because perfection is just a word…
